I don’t know if people follow this research blog.

Just to see if anybody does, here is my recipe for pancakes. Trust me, its a good one, perfected over many years. Now, go make some pancakes and post a picture of one ungarnished one to your research blog, Instagram, Twitter, whatever.

Ingredients for the batter (makes about 8 pancakes):

  • 180g self-raising flour
  • 50g butter.
  • 2 large eggs.
  • 400ml milk

To make the batter:

  1. Pour the milk into a bowl.
  2. Add the butter.
  3. Microwave or gently heat until the butter melts into the milk
  4. Add the eggs
  5. While stirring, slowly add the flour, ensuring that it is well mixed.
  6. Allow rest for 45 to 60 minutes.

To make each pancake:

Take 100 ml of batter (i.e. a large ladle), pour into a 15cm hot frying pan, and bake each side for about 2 minutes.
