Partly as a result of the one-on-one with Jake Biernat, and partly due to my realization that my practice has evolved since undertaking this MA, I have looked at updating my artist statement.

Back in February, just before the Residency in London, I had a day or so spare. Very early one morning I drafted an update. However, I never got around to putting it on this site as my practice was in a state of flux at the time, and I wasn’t entirely sure where it would be going.

Jake commented that an additional layer was added to my work after I explained to him the concepts on which it was based. So, I took that draft from February, and wrangled the words once more. What I have subsequently produced is more of a précis that a full artist statement, and I am now experimenting with putting it at the head of the practice page. The intent being that this will provide the context for the practice.
