Seeing Endgame: Duchamp, Chess, and the Avant-Gardes at Fundació Joan Miró

The exposition Endgame: Duchamp, Chess, and the Avant-Gardes at the Fundació Joan Miró, Barcelona.

One of the nice surprises in this expo was finding a room that contained Delaney, Klee, Kandinsky, and Schlemmer

Its funny seeing Das Triadisches Ballett.

It reminded me a bit of a scene from Spaced where performance art takes a hit. You know, the ‘performance’ by “Vulva” and “hoover”.

Performance art, for me is like Marmite (a pure binary love or hate). I either love it or hate it. Sorry, no middle ground. Surprisingly, I like Das Triadisches Ballett; that blend of utopia, costumes with color fields, and a cybernetic aesthetic.
