The Joan Miró collection is held at the Fundació Joan Miró, Centre d’Estudis d’Art Contemporani, located in the stunning Parc de Montjuïc in Barcelona.
This is perhaps my favorite museum in Barcelona for two reasons: the space is fantastic, as is the collection within.
Of all the work on display, I was drawn to two triptychs:
Another work that I found interesting was this one. The text on the glass (acrylic) results in a shadow on the ground behind. Such a simple mechanism. The result was stunning (and more than difficult to photograph!).
