I’ve been looking at the 4x4 configuration. The one in the top-right corner bothers me. It seems out of place. Perhaps I should replace it? Looking around my atelier I find an extra marbling work. Apparently I made 17 and not 16. This missing one was hiding, camouflaged.

So I replace the bothersome one. But I have become used to the original configuration, and in a perverse way I’m beginning to like that the aesthetic of the bothersome one jarring with the others; its bothersome because its too monochromatic (but, who says that can’t be one result of hybridity?). I’ll revert to the original one in the configuration. Now, what do I do with this extra one?
