Thoughts
Between making set 5 and set 6, and afterwards, I cleaned out the bath. And the result was detritus. A palette I hadn’t planned to use. Four colors instead of my usual pairs. But the results looks interesting. Perhaps too much of a “mess”? Too much allusion to “chaos”? Nevertheless, worth looking at when they have dried. After all, sometimes the best stuff comes from what could be easily dismissed and thrown away — such as the earlier Dispersion that seems to go wrong, but looking at it now is probably more than right!
More thoughts
The pieces (all 82 of them) are now drying for a day or three before anything can really be done with them. Slow Art. Having to wait for things to dry, no tack. This enforced period is good as it provides time to look at them and think what will happen to them. With this work more emphasis, perhaps, is required in terms of curation. How to configure. Some ideas are forming.
